We already realised several projects on the property owned by the Hungarian subsidiary of Becton Dickinson (from 2010 to 2017). In the current phase of development, the client aims to double the size of the original production area, which was handed over in 2010. The building complex consists of locker rooms, a production hall and a new personnel and cargo gate. With the new production lines, the plant’s production capacity will be doubled. The new production areas will be equipped with more modern and space-saving technologies, making room for a large storage space next to the production lines. The expected delivery date is the spring of 2023.

In the new building section, glass syringes will be produced and stored. The building’s floor numbering is partly ground floor + 1, and partly ground floor + 2. The main functional rooms are located on the ground floor, while the smaller second floor, the mezzanine, accommodates the building equipment (air conditioners, air technology equipment). The new factory building and the locker building had to be designed as an extension to the existing building. The factory is an extension of the syringe manufacturing branch, with the two operating in an integrated way, so it does not have its own reception. The building section is divided into two functional units of different character: the production area and the storage area.

The finished products are prepared in several stages: cutting, forming, assembling, sterile rinsing, packaging, storage and delivery. In the building, a new, independent dining room with a kitchen had to be designed, which can seat up to 400 people at the same time. The factory employees will use the plant’s new planned changing rooms, which will be housed in a separate locker building. When designing the interior of the locker building, we distinguished white and grey areas by using the company’s brand colours – blue and orange.
