The plant of the Hungarian subsidiary of BD Medical System is located on the land owned by the client. The set of buildings, which consists of a production area – including two production lines –, a warehouse, an office and social buildings, was completed in 2010 as part of the first phase of development. The facility produces medical syringes made of semi-finished glass and plastic. At that time, it had an area of 26,000 m2, with a capacity of 500 million glass syringes per year. The second phase of development, which included two additional production lines, was completed in 2013.

In the third phase of development, internal changes were made to initiate the production of plastic syringes. This development was implemented in 2014. In the fourth development phase, also in 2014, a new changing building was added to the existing set of buildings. The fifth phase of development took place in 2017, with the handover of the laboratory building wing built for BD Biosciences. In the sixth phase of development in 2020, internal modifications were implemented again to install new production lines.

The seventh phase of development is currently underway, in which the new wing of the production hall and the additional facilities needed for operation are being constructed in order to increase the capacity for glass syringe (HYPAK) production (see the animation below).
